RAPE AND DRUG CRIMES ARE ON THE RISE IN ELITE NYC HOTELS…..Wow….between 2011 and 2015 hotel and motel crime grew by 19.3 percent…..citywide crime fell to 6 percent…..we’re talking about places like the Waldorf Astoria….the Essex House and St. Regis….rooms in those joints will run you about $500 big ones a night….in 2015 there were 2,178 hotel crimes reported…..and 56 of those were rape crimes…..in the city rape crimes dropped to 16 percent….hotel drug crimes rose 16 percent…..at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Times Square….six people were busted with a 100 pounds of coke in their suitcases….a dude named James Bennett ripped off Prince Arwa Al Qassimi from Dubai for more than $250,000 of cash and jewelry….and in 2016….the statistic went even higher….and Lisa Linden (whoever the heck she is)…..said… “New York City is the safest big city in America, and our hotels provide safe and enjoyable experiences to the vast majority of guest”…..well I must say it is safer than the days when 42st was the place to buy drugs….and on 8th Ave you can find a really good time for a price….but I’m sure the woman who was shot in the chest while protecting her daughter in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn near Kennedy Airport might have a different opinion.
