STEVEN SPIELBERG DOESN’T THINK NETFLIX MOVIES DESERBE OSCARS

…..And now Netflix films will no longer be allowed to compete for the 71-year  old Cannes Film Festival’s prestigious prize..….why?…..because Netflix films are not screened in cinemas..…like “REAL” movies…..most of the films I’ve watched and enjoyed…..were produced by Netflix……and you want me to believe Steven…..that your film The Post..…was good enough for an Oscar nomination?……yeah,, right……just because it was loaded with great actors……doesn’t mean it’s going to be a great film..….you better not screw up Ready Player One..….otherwise I will be pissed off……below is a list of films, critics thought should’ve won an Oscar..…and the one’s which did win……and my opinion about it…..of course…..

THE MOVIES THAT “SHOULD” HAVE WON THE OSCAR BEST PICTURE (according to the stats)…..

And they blew it on a few choices…here’s the list….

…The Coal Miners Daughter (Ordinary People – a way better film)

….Atlantic City (Chariots of Fire – Susan and Burt were great in Atlantic City)

….E.T. (Gandhi – this is the part in the film industry where Hollyweird starts to screw Spielberg)

…..The Dresser (Terms of Endearment – They blew it, the Dresser is a classic)

….Places in the Heart (Amadeus – No way Place was better)

…Witness (Out of Africa – didn’t really care for either one)

….A Room with a View (Platoon – This was a different type of war film for America)

….Broadcast News (The Last Emperor – no way was Broadcast better than this film)

….Dangerous Liaisons (Rain Man – And they missed it on that film because Glenn Close and everyone in the film were amazing)

….My Left Foot (Driving Miss Daisy – and they forgot about Do The Right Thing)

….Goodfellas (Dances with Wolves – yeah, right!….Goodfellas is a freakin’ classic)

….The Silence of the Lambs (The academy finally got one right)

The Crying Game (Unforgiven – personally, they both sucked)

Schindler’s List (And the academy gets it right again)

Quiz Show (Forrest Gump – I liked Quiz Show, but Gump is a classic film)

….Sense and Sensibility (Braveheart – no question….you may hate Mel Gibson but the man can make some great films)

Secrets and Lies (The English Patient – whatever)

LA Confidential (Titanic – which is a good film….but LA is a great film)

….Saving Private Ryan (Shakespeare in Love – I did not get this choice at all)

….The Insider (American Beauty – I didn’t like either film…so)

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Gladiator – man that’s a hard one)

…In the Bedroom (A Beautiful Mind – great choice)

The Pianist (Chicago – I think Hollywierd didn’t want to give Roman Polanski any props…..since people think he’s a pedophile)

Lost in Translation (The Lord of the Rings – a beautiful film)

Sideways (Million Dollar Baby – yep, called that one right)

Good Night and Good Luck (Brokeback Mountain – didn’t care much for either one)

The Queen (Departed – Departed was a sick film and a great one)

Juno (No Country for Old Men – Juno is one of the most overlooked films)

Milk (Slumdog Millionaire – I’ll give you this one)

Up (The Hurt Locker – Great film, what is the female director of this film doing now?….did she do the film Detroit?)

Toy Story 3 (The King’s speech – HUH?….Toy Story 3….really?)

The Artist (with Moneyball and Hugo in the running, I was pulling for Hugo)

Argo (bull crap Zero Dark Thirty blew Argo away)

12 Years a Slave (Nailed it)

Selma (Birdman – Selma was a beautifully filmed movie, but I guess Hollywierd isn’t ready for a female director to win one))

Spotlight (The Revenant – And they blew it on this one…Spotlight was great)

Moonlight (And the academy almost got it wrong by announcing the wrong winner of the award)

So, Steven…..it doesn’t matter how much the project costs….it’s not about marketing….it’s the product….and if you feel threatened by a smaller company….then make a better film….because a few of your recent projects….ain’t been all that….you want to impress me…make one that’s better than Netflix’s… “What Happened to Monday.”

UPDATE:….So Steven..…I finally watched Ready Player One……and guess what?……you blew it!……your idea of one of my favorite books……was nowhere near the book……what in the hell were you thinking when you made that crap?
