MESUT OZIL’S EXIT FROM GERMAN SOCCER TEAM STOKES DEBATE ON INTERGRATION…..In case you don’t know him……he played on the German national team……was part of the team that won the world cup in Brazil….has kicked ass during his soccer career……and all hell broke loose when he posed for a photo with that asshole president in Turkey.…..which made some people think he doesn’t belong on the national team.….people were actually trying to blame him for Germany’s poor performance in the world cup……I’ll assume the other 10 players are not at fault because they played so well?……anyway,….he pointed out something which I think is a universal way of thinking when it comes to professional sports…..he said, “I’m German when we win, but I am an immigrant when we lose. I was born and educated in Germany, so why don’t people accept that I am German?”…..and he was born in Germany of Turkish parents..….oh, what?…..what do you think they call LeBron James when he loses the championship?….trust me, it ain’t LeBron…..anyway,…..his departure from the team is starting to raise questions about ethnic identity in Germany…..a former president of the German soccer association said..…. “This is a major setback for integration efforts beyond football in our country”……with him adding……that this episode risked sending a message that people of immigrant backgrounds were “second-class Germans”…..it’s not like the man is lying…..and many people don’t have a problem letting you know….anyway,…..I guess the easiest way to understand this dilemma is to quote Albert Einstein from a speech he gave in Paris in 1922….. “If my theory of relativity is proven successful, Germany will claim me as a German and the French will declare that I am a citizen of the world. Should my theory prove untrue, France will say that I am German, and Germany will declare that I am a Jew.”…..could it be because his roots are Turkish…..or because he’s a Muslim?……and this racism..…is rampant……black players in certain countries have to deal with…..monkey chants…..banana’s thrown at them……beaten up by so-called fans…..especially in Russia…..anyone remember Mario Balotelli…..he played for the national team of Italy?…..when he was playing well..…he was called the great Italian striker..….when he wasn’t, he was just another N….r!
