……Cooking a morning breakfast for us was a great idea…..thinking I could make a cup of coffee…..with the filters I bought…..without a proper coffee machine was a bad idea….the one in the apartment takes those cubes George Clooney promotes…..and the coffee….no offense…..sucks…..and I always bring my own…..Nicole’s a tea lady…..anyway,….put some coffee in a filter…..hold it over a cup…..add hot water….and the bottom of the filter melts…..seriously….so me being the college/university educated idiot I am…..thought….. “Why not double the filters together”…..great idea….pour the coffee that melted into a cup….into the double filter idea….add hot water and guess what?…..the double filters melted…..plan B…..Next Level Specialty Coffee…..since….if I don’t have coffee…..I’m not a nice person…..and yes, I had another slice of cheesecake…..you know why?…..because “IT’S SO DAMN GOOD”…..I did find a coffee pot for tomorrow morning…..after my coffee and cheesecake…..anyway,…..one if the perks of renting an apartment is…..some come with a washing machine….we both packed according to the time we would be here…..and what we would wear…..but we didn’t factor in the fact that….if you walk outside for an hour…..it feels like you showered with all your clothes on….while the sun overhead screams…. “NO NOT TODAY!”……back to our place…..ring out the sweat, toss it into the washing machine…..and off to the beach…..we went in the same direction as yesterday…..but a bit further down…..here’s the deal…..all of the beachfront restaurants….in many beachfront cities…..serve the same foods…..cooked differently…..and only want your cash….and nine times out of ten…..it taste like crap and you realize…..you could’ve cooked it better…..and let’s not talk about the tourist prices…..anyway,…..we headed towards my boy Pedro’s direction….and ate at the joint he works at…..and the food sucked…..except for the sardines Pedro cooked for Nicole….and my man said if I’m still hanging out in the area for a few days….we would….puff, puff, pass….. …..anyway,……burped and caught the bus back into the city……we didn’t head home…..we walked towards the pier…..where more tourist stuff was….and a few serious yachts marooned there…..one was all-black…..that was our favorite and named it after Darth Vader…..tellin’ ya….that yacht was no joke…..Nicole found a hat…..we found another beach to hangout out at…..and while walking back towards the center…..I heard the most amazing guitarist I’ve ever heard in years…..he had to be no more than 17, 18, 19-years old….tops…..I’ve listened to street musicians around the world…..some make me stop and listen…..Diego Guardeno had me to the point…..where I didn’t want to leave…..and trust me….that is rare…..his technique and style of playing knocked me for a serious loop…..he’s on Instagram…..I haven’t gone on his page yet….but I will…..soon…..anyway,…..Nicole had to wash the Mediterranean Sea sand off of her….in places where sand should not be allowed..…after playing fish….and then it was sangria time…..we’ve only been here three days…..and covered so much territory…..and more to cover tomorrow…..we still love running through the “Mazetrix” because…..you never know where you’re going to end up….when we were sitting at the spot next to our apartment and downing sangria…..a tour group came out of nowhere…..they left and then another came out of nowhere….so we’re like what’s up?….we looked up…..and on one of the building is an engraved plaque of…..FEDERICO GARCIA LORCA….Federico del Sagrado Corazón de Jésus Garcia Lorca…..was born on June 5th 1898….he was a Spanish poet, playwright and theatre director….he achieved international recognition as an emblematic member of the Generation of ’27….a group consisting mostly of poets…..who introduced tenets of European movements….such as symbolism, futurism and surrealism into Spanish literature…..he rose to fame with Romancero Gitano (Gypsy Ballads in 1928)…..this was a book of poems depicting life in his native Andalusia….after a sojourn in New York City from 1929 to 1930 he documented in Poeta en Nueva York (Poet in New York-1942….he returned to Spain and wrote his best-known plays Blood Wedding (1932)….Yerma (1934)….and The House of Bernarda Alba (1936)…..Garcia Lorca was a homosexual and suffered from depression after the end of his relationship with sculptor Emilio Aladrén Perojo…..he also had a close emotional relationship for time with Salvador Dali….who said he rejected Garcia’s sexual advances….Garcia Lorca was assassinated by National Forces at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War…..and his remains were never found…..and the motive remains in dispute….some say he was targeted for being gay, a socialist or both….while others view a personal dispute as the more likely cause.
