…..Yep folks…..as of last Monday…..I can toke weed in public…..just not near schools, children playgrounds and sports facilities…..cool, I can live with that…..now back to the group that’s been screwing the world for like…..forever…..The Catholic Church has maintained a clear and constant position on recreational drug use….The Catechism of the Catholic Church states….. “The use of drugs inflicts very grave damage on human health and life…..their use, except on strictly therapeutic grounds……is a grave offense…..civil authorities should enforce the laws against them”…..and get this bullshit…..the Catechism also affirms…. “The Christian virtue of temperance”…..which disposes us to avoid every kind of excess….the abuse of food, alcohol, tobacco or medicine….I love the fact they threw the “abuse” word in there…..if there is any cult who shouldn’t have an opinion…..regarding the welfare of the young….this is definitely one of them…..sexually abusing children…..destroying countries and cultures….selling false prophets….and the list goes on…..so Vatican City…..shut up and let me toke in peace….amen!….at least there was one Bishop who was down with legalizing it…..and I hope one day during Mass……he fills that incense bowl they wave around…..with an ounce of Maui-Wowie…..and give the entire congregation one hell of a contact.

THE QUEERNESS OF KING JAMES I, OF BIBLE FAME…..He’s the guy who commissioned the Bible….used by many Christians….and being hawked by Trump…..there’s also a miniseries out telling you the story about James and his male lover called….Mary and George….but that’s another story…..anyway,….his version is the one Christian churches are using…..James was known as King James I of England….and King James VI of Scotland….and would likely be understood as bisexual today…..there weren’t such labels for sexuality in his era…..during the 16^th and 17^th centuries…..he had a passionate relationship with his wife queen Anne…..trust me, they were bangin’ each other…..but James also had many male lovers….one of them was George Villiers….earl and later duke of Buckingham….no relation to Lindsey….and he was James favorite toy-boy…..James met him in August of 1614…..and the charming Villiers soon replaced his Scottish favorite Robert Carr…..earl of Somerset….his relationship with James became sexual and he retained the King’s passionate support to the end of the latter’s life…..there was a time where historians didn’t want to talk about it….. “There was, for a very long time, a hesitancy to really talk about it….it would just be said that he had these “favorites” and that he was foolishly devoted to them”……but James letters portray physical relationship between him and various men….one letter referred Villiers as “my sweet child and wife”….James publicly denounced the act of sodomy….but that didn’t mean he wasn’t doing it himself….hey, if you’re the King….why not….do what you like…..anyway,….in 1604….a group of religious leaders in England came up with the idea of a new version of the Bible….their proposal said the English translations already in circulation…. “were corrupt and not answerable to the truth of the original”…..and James jumped on the idea of approving a list of scholars to do the revision….and in 1611….the King James version was published…..by the next century it had become the most popular English-language Bible…..even non-believers praised its beautiful use of words….some Christians considered it divinely inspired and the only authoritative version…..while ignoring…..or denying its queer origins….but….there have been many versions since then….the Revised Standard Version…..the American Standard Version and more…..a translation produced by Catholics in the 16^th and 17^th centuries…..the Douai-Reims Bible….was the only authorized Bible in English for Roman Catholics until the 20^th century…..by then….England had broken with the Catholic Church and after James kicked the bucket…..the nation was officially Protestant…..if you want to know how well the Catholics and Protestants got along…..watch a film called Queen Margot…..Trump’s promotion of the King James version….as part of “America’s religion” ignores the existence of so many versions of the Bible….and the existence of non-Christian religions….but it doesn’t matter…..because no one ever thought he was a theological scholar…..and here’s a bit of information you probably didn’t know about…..

THE ETHIOPIAN BIBLE….is the oldest…..original…..and most complete Bible on earth…..it was written in Geéz…..an ancient language of Ethiopia….it’s nearly 800 years older than the King James version…..and contains 81-88 books compared to just 66….it includes the book of Enoch, Esdras, Brunch….and a host of others that were excommunicated from the King James Version.
