WHY IT’S HARDER TO RECOVER FROM JET LAG WHEN YOU FLY EAST….Now that’s true….when I fly home.…2-3 days tops and I’m cool….flying back home…..at least a week and a half…..there are cells called.….Neuronal Oscillator Cells..…which regulate people’s circadian rhythm..…or biological clock by syncing up with one another…..but they don’t operate on a perfect 24-hour schedule…..because their activity follows a cycle that last slightly longer than that.…24.5 hours…..which means it’s easier for a person flying west across time zones.….than to shorten the day by flying east….the amount of time it takes a person to adjust to a new time zone..…depends on not only how many time zones are crossed but also the direction in which a person flies.….flying west…..three time zones…..four days..…six….six days.….nine…..less than eight days….flying east…..three time zones…four days….six…..eight days…..nine…..more than twelve days.
