IN JAPAN….Parents give young children complete freedom….until they turn 5….they do what they want….what child from birth till 5 doesn’t have freedom?….ok, you/we could go there because “WE” know that freedom isn’t guaranteed to every child…..we got it…. “PARENTS”….will give a child lead way….back in my days….yeah, we could do a lot of crazy stuff…but there were rules and line you didn’t cross….later on in life I was glad those rules and lines existed…..but now days with these youngin’s?…..anyway,…..from 5 to 15….children are treated like servants….don’t know about y’all, but by the time I was like 11….I’d put a servant to shame….15?….lucky kid….they ride the subway alone, run errands, clean their own classrooms, serve lunch, and scrub the toilets at school…..this way, children learn to live by the rules of society….by 15, they’re expected to behave like adults….well ain’t that some shit…..travel alone….by the time we were 7….we knew every bus route….running errands?….you kidding?….Mr. Larry, sittin’ on the stool inside the corner bar….will send you across the street to buy him some Lucky Strike cigs…flip you a nickel and I’m 6-years old…..clean their own classroom….my classroom, my bedroom, the kitchen….etc….serve lunch….serve myself…. “You hungry, look in the fridge”….we would bring Big Momma a plate…..scrub the toilet….if you missed the toilet, yep….and then by 15 they’re expected to act like adults?….talk about a dream court case….anyway,…..my generation learned how to behave….if not….one pluck upside your head will bring you back to reality real quick…..we grew up way too fast….we were doing at a much earlier age….what they’re expected to accomplish by age 15.
