……One person dead…..22 others wounded by gunfire….at the end of the Chief’s Super Bowl parade…..and when everyone starts to talk about why this incident happened…..gun control will not be part of the discussion…..and for some unexplained reason…..when I read the article….Dean Martin’s song “Amore” popped in my head…..come on…..sing along with me…… “When the bullet hits your eye….why do you act surprised….that’s Ame-rica….that’s Ame-rica…..Everyone wants to scream…..gun control but that’s a dream…..in Ame-rica…..in Ame-rica”…..moving on…..

HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED TO MEDUSA’S SISTERS AFTER HER DEATH IN GREEK MYTHOLOGY…..We all know the Greeks had lots of….. “Characters”…..there’s Thesesus….who with the help of the Minoan princess Ariadne….slayed that bull-headed, man-bodied minotaur…..and escaped from its underground labyrinth….next is Heracles….or as the Romans called him….Hercules….whose first of 12 labors involved killing the invincible Namean lion….and of course Narcissus…..who fell madly in love with his own reflection in a pool of water…..he didn’t eat or drink….and died….and thanks to him he granted us the world…. “Narcissism”….like a few people we know….anyway,….and while we’re throwing out names…..lets add….Zeus, Hers Hades, Poseidon, Ares Athena, Hermes……well, you get the picture….like a DC Marvel comic book……or maybe Greek mythology is like reading a Stephen King book…..and then there was my girl…..the one and only Medusa…..the OG of Greek mythology….girlfriend didn’t wear dreads…..she had a head full of snakes….and if you looked at her she would turn you into a brick…but Perseus wasn’t falling for that trick….he used his shield, reflected her face back at her….and then did a Louis XIV on her…..off with her head….I bet you didn’t know Medusa was just one the most famous of three monstrous sister…..the Gorgons…. “HA”….you didn’t know that did you?.….well hold on to your beer….because you’re gonna like this….now Medusa was mortal….that’s why Perseus could do the Louie thing….but her sisters….Stheno and Euryale were immortal….and more powerful…..after Medusa kicked the bucket….they lived on and some stories say they traveled to the Underworld just to torment souls there…..rather than stay above and be bored by the living world….I feel them on that move…..anyway,….now the stories about the three sisters underwent lots of changes…..you know, like history always does….even long before they were actually written down….sort of like what’s happening today…..anyway,….now the Kardashians…..sorry, my bad…..I meant the three Gorgons were originally the offspring of two ancient sea monsters…..Pharcys and Ceto….a brother and sister combo…..seems like incest was popular back in the day……anyway,…they gave birth to a whole bunch of horrifying creatures….like the sailor-killing monster Skylla…..the hundred-headed sea dragon Ladon and a whole lot more….some stories say the Gorgons were winged women with tusks and brass hands….and now folks…..drama….one revised theory states….Medusa considered herself  to be more beautiful than the goddess Athena…..while another version said she was raped by the god Poseidon inside Athena’s temple….and yep….that pissed Athena the you know what off….so she made Medusa into a Gorgon…..like the other two….but she said…. “Nah girl, you’re not going to be immortal, yo ass gonna be mortal”….and that’s why King Polydectes sent Perseus to do the chop-chop thing on Medusa….but not on her sisters…..and that chop-chop thing seriously pissed off her sisters….and Perseus hauled-ass with Medusa’s head strapped to his back….the sisters started to chase him but thought better of it…..that’s a good thing for Perseus because he dodged a bullet…..since Stheno was a banger and considered the most lethal one the of the three….she killed more people than the other two combined….her name means “Mighty” or “Strong”…..now I know by now you’re wondering what did Stheno and Euryale do after their sister was taken out of the picture huh?….sorry, but there isn’t much to go on…..BUT….the Roman poet Virgil…..mentioned the hero Aeneus seeing the Gorgons in the underworld….in his epic poem “The Aeneid”…..a poem written from 30 to 19 B.C.E….but Virgil wrote his a good 600-plus years after Hesiod wrote “Shield of Heracles”….and here’s the killer….World History Encyclopaedia tells us….it might have been a common story that the two sisters went to the underworld at some point after their sister took a dirt nap…..but no one really knows….and “IF” the sisters went there…..they’re still there…..any you wanna know why?….because they are “Immortal.”

MAGGOTS RAIN DOWN ON PASSENGERS MID-FLIGHT…..You should’ve seen the look on Nicole’s face when I read her this story…..a Delta Airlines flight leaving Amsterdam…..and going to Detroit was forced to make a U-turn after maggots from an overhead compartment landed on passengers……people on board tried to tell the cabin crew….something smells funky up in here…..but they ignored them and told them to turn on their air vents…..about an hour into the 9-hour flight hundreds of maggots started raining down on people….and yes, the tune “It’s Raining Men” popped into my head….don’t judge….anyway,….some idiot had packed dead fish inside their carry-on….someone was seriously “Stoned out of their mind” at security to miss dead fish inside someone’s carry-on  bag…..people were freaking out…..and larva were falling on their heads….it takes a while for maggots to form on something dead….anyway,…..so, my question is….when did this person pack the fish in the carry-on?……and if that’s not weird  enough for ya…..

A PLANE WITH UP TO 318 PASSENGERS ONBOARD HAD TO TURN AROUND THREE HOUR INTO A TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT AFTER ALL THE TOILETS STOPPED WORKING…..I don’t know which story is worse…..the maggots…..or not being able to crap out…..the crappy airline food you have to eat.

PARENTS SAY THEY HAD TO SIGN PERMISSION SLIPS FOR THEIR CHILD TO BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO A BOOK BY A BLACK PERSON….Florida folks……I have a simple question I want to ask…..do parents have to sign a permission slip…..for “White books?”…..if I lived in Florida…..and trust me, that is not happening…..but if I did….I’d either home school my children…..or definitely move out of that lunatic state.
