ACADEMY ANNOUNCES MAJOR OVERHAUL IN RESPONSE TO #OscarSoWhite….I don’t see why people are so surprised…..I mean look at how well race relations worked in 2015…..and to boycott the Oscars?…..well that’s your choice…..but why bite the hand that feeds you…..and also slapped you in the face?…..Asian, Native-American and Hispanics actors were screwed also.….and I don’t see them bitching about it…..it’s just the way it is…..if actors are upset about it.….then “ALL” actors should boycott together…..and there are a few who are.….and they’re not black…..and no Chris Rock should not boycott the show.….he can do a better job getting the message across on a global stage…..by now everyone should know the system is rigged….and not only against African-American actors…..think about it…..how many Oscars should Denzel, Pacino, DeNiro and Streep have by now…..and Dicaprio?……give me a break!…..Oprah and Whoopie were ripped off in The Color Purple…..so it’s not like it’s something new……a lot of people think Idris Elba should’ve been nominated…..and his performance was great.….but did anyone notice the performance of the kid who played Agu?……and Will Smith was ok…….but Samuel L. Which is the reality. And I was slashed to pieces by the media and stuff..…it’s interesting that women can’t talk. We don’t do movies for the industry; we do movies for the fans, for the people. And the industry, if they give you a trophy or not or pat you on the back or not, it’s nice but it’s not something you should dwell upon”….at least the Academy said it promises historic changes to diversify membership.
